| This casual Williamsburg café is run by a French-Algerian family who bake their own bread to use for sandwiches and burgers and scooping up the chunky baba ghanouj. The food here doesn’t necessarily skew North African, though there’s a first-rate vegetable-laced couscous dish on the menu. A lamb sausage sandwich, crammed with peppers, is spicy and filling (though the accompanying french fries were flaccid). There’s also a decent steak frites for those who want something more substantial. The short wine list includes a few affordable options by the glass. |
