THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sinibar Restaurant Review:

It's not easy to bring off chic in the wilds of Wicker Park, but Sinibar is giving it a go. The spin is that it is part restaurant, part nightclub. The food is mostly French, but some Italian influences filter into the mix. The 30-somethings seem to love the place; if you are beyond those years you probably won't. Grilled calamari salad is a good opener, risotto is so-so and there's excellent penne arrabiata. Chocolate cake is, well, chocolate cake. The atmosphere is dark yet interesting. But those hard chairs are enough to make a monk weep. The nightclub in the basement kicks in around 10 p.m.
