The Siren Canteen

The Siren Canteen Restaurant Review:

The Siren Canteen is located in the bottom of a lifeguard tower right on Stinson Beach. The ocean is front and center at every table and most are shielded from wind by old-fashioned paned windows. The menu is posted on blackboards and includes tacos, burritos, burgers and sandwiches enhanced by homemade delicacies such as pickles, fermented condiments, tortillas and potato chips. Try the made-to-order guacamole with pickled jalapeños or the flash-fried kale chips if they are on the menu. We recommend the fish tacos made with grilled local halibut and the burgers crafted with grass-fed beef. Beer and wine are available and make fine sippers while watching the sun dip below the horizon. For dessert, don’t miss the organic soft-serve ice cream with a drizzle of olive oil and flaked salt.
