SkyCity Restaurant Restaurant Review: At the top of what may be Seattle’s most famous structure --- the Space Needle from the 1962 World's Fair --- this continually rotating restaurant matches its menu with a 360-degree view. Classic Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes include starters such as Dungeness crab fritters, grilled prawns, and prosciutto-wrapped bites of Seattle's own Beecher’s cheese. We recommend ordering simple entrées, such as grilled wild Alaska king salmon served with apple cider butter and roasted fingerling potatoes, or the New York strip steak from Washington’s Double R Ranch. For dessert, the Lunar Orbit is a must --- it has been on the menu since the restaurant first opened. The wine list offers a good selection of well-priced Washington wines, and service is professional and welcoming. Brunch is a special opportunity to experience the views for less money. One bonus to dining at SkyCity: The cost of taking the elevator to the Space Needle’s observation deck ($18 for adults/$11 kids) is included with your restaurant reservation. Subtract this from the cost of your meal, and the bill will seem downright appealing. |
