THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Slice West Village Restaurant Review

: An Italian food purist might scoff at this West Village pizzeria, but that doesn’t mean you have to. The “all-natural” and “organic” aspects are terrific, but even better is the out-of-the-box nature of the pizza: there are several different varieties and, while this is a sit-down-and-kick-your-heels-up sort of place, any pizza can be ordered by the full or personal size or even by the made-to-order slice (hence the name). The fresh-tasting bruschetta comes more like something to be constructed: whole-wheat pita is used to scoop up the chopped tomatoes and onions. Pizzas come in many creative styles, including the Indian-accented pie, the Bomb, which includes mozzarella and chicken tikka masala. Other varieties include pesto, goat cheese and, for the unadventurous, a simple but good mozzarella and tomato sauce. The affordable craft beer and wine selection focuses on local, New York State varieties.
