Smashburger Restaurant Review: Occupying a high-profile corner in the Garden District, Smashburger, an outpost of the national chain, is often packed, with every table in its very brightly lit dining room filled. Burgers, as the company likes to say, are "smashed, seared and seasoned on the grill." Among the variations of the namesake item, we like the truffle mushroom and Swiss, with sautéed garlic mushrooms. Also offered are a variety of chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, hot dogs and salads. The ideal meal-ender is a Häagen-Dazs milkshake.
