THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Social House Restaurant Review:
A hip hot-spot that lives up to its name, Social House is situated in the Treasure Island space that was Buccaneer Bay. Located on the mezzanine level above Christian Audigier The Nightclub, the restaurant overlooks the Strip and the resort’s Sirens Cove with its sultry Sirens show. The six-seat sushi bar presents its own entertainment---the gifted live-action sushi chefs. Dining at one of the three intimate bars is a preferred option for some Social House aficionados, as is the alcove that houses a mansion-size dining table and the outdoor patio. Presiding over the kitchen is chef Joseph Elevado, who honed his craft as Nobu Las Vegas’ executive chef. We like the signature dishes on his extensive menu---Snake River Farms Kobe beef served seared then dressed with either garlic oil, garlic ponzu or wasabi crème, and citrus peel miso-marinated cod with bok choy and citrus aïoli. Small plates on the menu are not only good to share, but reflect Elevado's Filipino background, including pancit bihon and shrimp and pork lumpia. The extensive saké and wine lists nicely complement the cuisine. Desserts include fresh fruit sorbets, mochi and oolong chocolate panna cotta. If you venture in for late-night dining, you will find that Social House transforms itself into a lounge, complete with a DJ.
