THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Social House Restaurant Review:

There are four distinct environments at Social House: a lounge, a dining room, a secluded area with semi-private booths, and an open terrace overlooking the interior of the Crystals shopping center. Décor elements include Japanese paper-flower drawings, red velvet curtains, dark wood tables and flooring, and light fixtures that resemble large bird nests. Executive chef Jonathan Amorin delivers a varied menu of small plates, sashimi, sushi rolls and hot dishes. Begin with the sashimi trio on the not-so-secret menu: yellowtail with crispy jalapeño, salmon with wasabi crème fraîche, and big-eye tuna with sweet chili sauce. Fried shishito peppers with lemon miso will prove to be addicting, as will king crab tempura served with amazu-ponzu aïoli. Hot dishes are well represented with hanger steak with wasabi cream sauce and miso-glazed black cod. To accompany your meal, an extensive saké list touts the DY-50 Dassai Goju Junmai Daiginjo, and the Japanese microbrew Samurai Barley Ale, a ten-percent barley wine from the Swan Lake Brewery in Niigata. For dessert try the pineapple upside-down cake with house-made cherry vanilla ice cream or brown sugar-roasted banana and cream cheese spring rolls with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces.
