THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED SoGo Market Cafe & Takeout Restaurant Review:

SoGo’s chef-owner, Mark Arriola, has training that spans the globe from classic French to Pacific Rim; his is a résumé that suggests more than soups, salads and sandwiches. And yet he’s brought his experience to bear on all three, and it shows. Even the normally pedestrian pasta salad gets a spunky makeover in this cheery and light-filled space, and special soups such as a sweet potato and ginger don’t hold back on serious seasoning. A Thai steak salad almost went over the top with a dressing that included ginger and lemon grass, but the curry-spiked lamb and goat cheese pita pleased in all aspects save the superfluous sprouts. We aren’t particular fans of the locally-made Saweet cupcakes, but the nanaimo bars were killer.
