| Chef Tom Harkins is in the kitchen at SoleFood, a lobby-level restaurant with sweeping spaces and terrific streetscape views. Harkins, whose résumé includes stints at Moshulu and the Rittenhouse, excels in simple, beautifully presented American dishes that draw on influences from all over the world. The menu includes the likes of wood-grilled prawns with sweet corn mashed potato and sun-dried tomato reduction; and Tuscan flatbread with grilled shrimp, basil pesto and Fontina. Seasonal and sustainable ingredients are at the forefront, in dishes like grilled Block Island swordfish with caramelized parsnips and chanterelle mushrooms and Jersey tomato soup topped with a blue crab cake. There is steak and chicken for those not enamored of sea critters. Do ask for the mini cappuccino with beignets for dessert. |
