: Young chef/owner Alex Lombardo traveled extensively and decided the cuisine of the sun was what he wanted to direct his ample talents toward. Menu highlights include a citrusy seafood ceviche, homemade tomato bisque, garlicky steamed mussels and some of the best paella you’re apt to taste this side of Spain. If available, don’t miss the fresh Hawaiian escolar served over lobster-infused potatoes. The light, vanilla-custard panna cotta with strawberries is a must dessert. For a special dinner and wine tasting, reserve a place at the chef’s table in the quaint Spanish Library of Wine room. Warm, spicy Latin jazz greets you at the bar, which serves oysters and tapas. Soleil continues the European tradition of wine sampling: 75 percent of the extensive list is offered in small cafĂ© or regular glasses and there are also frequent don’t-miss wine dinners.
