THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Somethin' Else Restaurant Review:

Chef Sean Kelly has named this demi-bistro after a smooth, cool tune by legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis. He's distilled some of the most popular dishes from Claire de Lune, his fine-dining restaurant that previously occupied the tiny space, into casual small plates and added still more, so you can compose anything from a snack to a full dinner from the 35-item menu. Start with fried baby artichokes with rich lemon aïoli or the house-roasted almonds. We always order the wilted frisée, poached egg and bacon salad, and also enjoy the fresh anchovy filets with slivered fennel and shaved Parmesan. Then we go for the chilled poached lobster or Malpeque oysters in mignonette sauce, or maybe saffron-steamed mussels. Moroccan-spiced lamb ribs and Niman Ranch pork albondigas are also high on our list. For dessert, try the milk chocolate pudding with whipped cream or the not-too-tart lemon tart. Be prepared for the tables to be very close together, and for a high noise level bouncing off the wood floors, white laminated tables and mustard-colored walls.
