Something Different offers excellent haute cuisine with impeccable service and an ambience that makes each visit a very special occasion. Only a few yards from one of the busiest intersections in Central Indiana, the restaurant manages to offer a peaceful respite from the worries and hustles of the outside world. While the setting is elegant, it's gratefully not pretentious. If undecided or not knowledgeable on a particular entrée or wine, ask the server for help. You'll be steered to a delightful experience whether you're ordering the luscious appetizer of seared scallops with French bean, pear and almond salad or the addictive peach upside down cake made with corn meal and accompanied with marinated peaches, peach sorbet and a surprisingly delicious cream cheese ice cream. Roasted Indiana duck seasoned with sage and oranges is regal atop polenta with caramelized onions and lots of creamy blue cheese. There's always a meatless choice for the vegetarian and anyone else who appreciates fresh, innovative dishes sans meat. This indeed is the place to indulge in something different.
