There is no other for world-class ’cue, tender and juicy. As you might expect, these homespun eateries emphasize the food, not the décor. You place your order when you enter, pick it up when it’s ready, select your condiments, and then chow down, oblivious to that excellent barbecue sauce trickling down your arms. The yummy pulled pork, and turkey are our favorites. Don’t skip the best side order, enormous crispy onion rings; the barbecued beans are pretty good, too. Fried okra’s popular, but we prefer the good slaw---try layering some on a turkey sandwich with barbecue sauce---and the zesty cucumber salad. Keep Sonny Bryan’s in mind for fast, good to-go food, as well as for delivery and catering.
