THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Son's Place Restaurant Review:
Cutting across social strata and ethnic groups, this Atlanta icon draws a diverse crowd for good food. With its bright yellow interior, Son's Place has built a fine reputation for fried chicken, fried fish, good collard greens, hoe cakes (a cousin of the pancake but without the syrup) and pound cake. Lemonade actually has seeds in it, proving it's freshly squeezed. Breakfast is a winner too, with eggs, house-made sausage patties, biscuits and grits. Owner Lenn Storey's wife, Beverly, makes all the cakes.
