SOPA Restaurant Review:
The very chic L'Horizon Resort & Spa is where you’ll find the sexy SOPA. The al fresco space is inviting, with fire pits, soothing fountains and dangling chandeliers. The restaurant offers up breakfast, lunch and dinner for a well-heeled crowd. Executive chef Chris Anderson has taken the helm of the kitchen. He’s an alum of innovative Chicago restaurants like Alinea and Moto, and his menus feature modern cooking combined with familiar flavors. Choose from crafted cocktails such as the Thai Elephant with a Sriracha garnish, and the Expresar Pina infused with fresh rosemary. The vodka-based L’Horizon Classic features a spray of Compass Box “Peat Monster” Scotch and pays homage to the days of Dean and Frank. The restaurant is intimate, with plenty of nooks for a tête-à-tête, but also boasts a 26-foot communal table for making new friends.
