South Philly Barbacoa Restaurant Review:
Cristina Martinez and Ben Miller have grown South Philly Barbacoa from a food cart to a pop-up to this permanent location. (You might have seen the restaurant featured on episodes of the Netflix TV shows "Chef's Table" and "Ugly Delicious.”) The specialties are barbacoa (slow-cooked lamb from the style of Capulhuac, Mexico) and pancita (spicy lamb offal sausage), available in a taco or by the kilo. A vegan option is also available. The tacos are only available on the weekends, so South Philly Barbacoa often hosts pop-ups of other restaurants on weekdays. Cash only.
