Spaghettini Restaurant Review: Spaghettini may be better known for its live jazz than for its food. World-class as well as up-and-coming jazz acts, both local and touring, come here to play in the lounge. But even with the musical overtones, owners Laurie Sisneros and Cary Hardwick make sure their family-friendly restaurant serves fine and traditional Italian fare. Regulars come for the thin-crust pizzas with gourmet toppings like jumbo shrimp, salami and artichokes. The pasta dishes are also winners, with zesty combinations such as lemon herb chicken and goat cheese, tomato and artichoke hearts, and lots of seafood. Winning entrées include chicken Marsala and grilled lamb chops. The jazz Sunday brunch is lavish with free-flowing Domaine Ste. Michelle sparkling wine, Mondavi Woodbridge wines, fresh-baked muffins, California-style salads, Italian pastas, traditional American breakfast dishes, waffles, a fresh seafood station and house-made desserts. Although the restaurant is family-friendly, expect a hopping bar scene later at night. |
