THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Spanish Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Passing through the antique doors of The Spanish Kitchen is like taking a short trip to Mexico. A fountain, wrought iron, leather upholstery, and an outdoor patio with bougainvillea create a hacienda-style ambience. Named after a famous Mexican restaurant from the '40s, Spanish Kitchen does not serve Spanish cuisine but south-of-the-border dishes. A cocoa crêpe filled with lobster, manchego and leeks is at once spicy and sweet. Ceviche arrives in a coconut shell, while mini-tortillas are used to serve grilled shrimp glazed with tamarind and pineapple. Other house specialties include pan-sautéed sea bass, paella, a pan-seared pork chop with a spicy dry marinade, and vegetarian Mexican cheese fondue. Among desserts are a classic tres leches, caramelized bananas and coconut custard. With more than 100 tequilas available, you may find the drink of your dreams.
