| There are actually very few choices for unobstructed ocean-view dining in Huntington Beach, and Spark Woodfire Grill has one of the best spots of all with its second-story picture windows and outdoor patio with a cozy fire pit. Chef-partner Tom Shields added more seafood selections to this Spark locale, but the draw here is the 1,600-degree steak broiler. Start with the savory Maryland-style blue crab cakes, which come with a creamy and tangy chipotle aïoli. The menu, however, is truly eclectic, with American- and globally-inspired dishes like slow-cooked baby-back ribs, lasagna, wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers and a long list of entrée salads. The chocolate croissant bread pudding headlines the dessert options. |
