Sparks Steak House Restaurant Review:

This steakhouse is a cut above many of the others in terms of ambience. An expansion into the space next door means your wait for a table usually is shorter than in the past. The tender Prime sirloin is the house specialty, but you can also try the juicy filet mignon, the lamb chops (three doubles), or the charred veal chop. Then there are the absolutely gargantuan broiled lobsters. Be sure to start with a classic shrimp cocktail, some fresh oysters on the half shell, or a wedge of buffalo mozzarella with a thick slice of tomato. The meats come unadorned, so order a side of buttery creamed spinach or a baked potato. Desserts are just okay, but there's a good dessert wine list. Sparks has one of the best overall wine cellars in the city and some of the fairest wine prices, which is a refreshing change from many steakhouses.
