 Those looking for quality regional Italian fare in a high-end setting need turn no further than Spataro. The dining room boasts views of Capitol Park, and the outdoor patio is perfect for people-watching. Fresh-baked pizzas, homemade pastas, roasted meat and seafood are offered on the seasonal menu. Starters include mozzarella with pluots and almonds and prosciutto and melon, pastas include chicken cannelloni with béchamel and tagliatelle with shrimp, while entrées range from pan-seared petrale sole to slow-cooked pork. Take advantage of the midweek happy hour specials or the $10 daily lunch special.
