THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sprig Restaurant Review: East Falls has its share of politicos, but now it has a decent restaurant in Sprigs, the brainchild of the Ferry family and son Howard Greene, a well-traveled chef. In this cozy, brick walled room, one can choose from any number of dishes, be they French, Asian or simple family recipes. A tuna tempura roll is glamorized by avocados and jalapeños, but the signature dish is slow roasted short ribs with mashed potatoes. You can have a vertically composed salad, or a whole roasted chicken with rice pilaf. The well-priced wine list could use more choices, but I'm sure someone in the family will see to that in short order. This is a total family affair that seems to work.
