 This Beverly Hills establishment seems to have a continual line out the door. A venture of now-celebrity baker Candace Nelson, Sprinkles almost single handedly ushered in the greatest baking craze of the last decade, with competitors popping up everywhere. Always offering an assortment of freshly baked mainstay and unique flavors---ranging from vanilla and a variety of chocolates to chai latte and ginger-lemon---Sprinkles’ varieties also reflect the season, with vanilla peppermint, chocolate peppermint and eggnog spice flavors. They all carry a trademark confectionary dot designating the flavor, but for something extra special you can request getting cupcakes decorated with red-and-green Christmas trees or blue Stars of David. Sprinkles may still be the most famous cupcake purveyor, but its expansion---there are locations all over the country now---has diminished its air of exclusivity. Other locations.
