Standard Tap Restaurant Review: The beer's the thing at this Northern Liberties landmark, which set the high bar for gastropubs when it opened in 1999. Standard Tap, which has a well-worn vibe, features an all-draft beer list culled from craft breweries in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The upscale comfort fare menu changes daily, with favorites from chef Carolynn Angle including fried smelts; mussels with sausage; a burger with grilled onions, bacon and Monterey Jack cheese; and a pulled pork sandwich. During the warmer weather months, try to get a seat on the second-floor deck, a welcoming aerie away from the NoLibs crowds.
