Stanley & Seafort's Steak, Chop & Fish House Restaurant Review: Seafood and steaks are the draws at this classic Tacoma restaurant, tucked into a quiet residential area on the edge of a bluff. A solid wall of windows frames the city's downtown and its busy Commencement Bay harbor. Corporately owned by Restaurants Unlimited, Inc., the same Seattle-based company behind Palomino and Palisade, Stanley & Seafort's offers a menu that lacks the innovative dishes found at its siblings. Steakhouse classics, such as grilled sirloin and brandy-peppercorn steak, are consistently prepared. Seafood choices range from crab cakes to an etouffée brimming with scallops, black tiger prawns, fresh mussels and clams. Unfortunately, the service leans towards being too casual and the wine list too pedestrian for a restaurant positioning itself in the fine-dining category. However, if you happen to be in Tacoma, this is one of your better dining options.
