THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Star Canyon Restaurant Review:

Founding chef-owner Stephan Pyles is long gone and though some of his trailblazing goodies are still on the menu, the star has faded over the years. You still can't beat the bone-in cowboy rib-eye, bigger than your head and covered in fries, or the southwestern-style Caesar salad with jalapeño-polenta croutons. And the place is still one of the best examples of high Texas chic design around, which makes it worth a stop for a drink. Stayed tuned though, the new chef and management may give the star back its shine.
