Stax Burger Bar Restaurant Review: Chef Luis Ramirez and his brother Luciano are responsible for the tasty burgers at Stax, which are made from a blend of grass-fed and corn-fed beef. The former got his toque credentials at Roswell's Van Gogh's; the latter manages the restaurant. While you can get classic burgers --- we like the blue burger with caramelized onions, blue cheese and bacon --- variations include a lamb burger with roasted red peppers. In addition, there's a scampi burger (a shrimp patty), a salmon burger, and one with a blend of pork and chorizo. Quality buns, hand-cut sea salt fries and standout onion rings as pluses. Salads are available, too. For the sweet spot, there are floats and shakes made with Häagen-Dazs ice cream. Beer and wine are offered, and we were pleased to see wine prices that made sense given the menu.
