Replicating the ambience of the days when gallant knights and their fair maidens dined in splendor, this romantic restaurant is an escalator ride up from the resort's casino level. There’s a glassed-in cooler where the meats are aged and a private dining chamber just inside the entrance, stained glass windows, beautiful woodwork, a wine cellar, humidor room, sparkling open kitchen, chef's table and a comfortable lounge complete with a fireplace. Among appetizers, the pan-seared Maryland crab cake is a winner, as is the crab and spinach artichoke served with toasted baguette. Casual bites such as chicken wings in chipotle barbecue, sweet chili or cayenne sauces and quesadillas with Oaxaca cheese and filet mignon are popular as well. Steak is king here, with eight-ounce filet mignon, 16-ounce rib-eyes, 20-ounce bone-in Angus New York Strips, plus a 16-ounce 21-day aged prime rib. Among other entrées are a country-style meatloaf wrapped in bacon and a hearty, savory chicken potpie. The attractive dessert cart displays tempting choices such as warm bourbon-pecan tart with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream, and Bavarian chocolate mousse with Cabernet sorbet and sautéed sour cherries.
