Steamboat House Restaurant Review: This steakhouse is situated in a grand building with an oversize statue of Sam Houston standing proudly out front. The sizeable lunch crowd mostly orders the lunch steak special (though it is not the best steak dinner) consisting of an eight-ounce strip, large baked potato and dinner salad. The grilled chicken sandwich looks appealing but lacks flavor. A highlight is the dessert tray that includes the Texas Cannonball, vanilla ice cream rolled in chocolate. Pleasing waiters have an eye for detail and you will want for nothing. The décor is museum-like with fine art and high ceilings.
