THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Stevie's Restaurant Review:

Stevie's is further proof that Louisiana cooking is making another one of its cyclical revivals --- perhaps this time for good. Stephen Perry, owner of the Crenshaw District's Stevie's on the Strip, is behind this Valley outpost, with a rustic wood-clad façade and a dining room painted in goldenrod, rust and green. Big, colorful paintings of jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald are set behind faux window frames around the stage area, from which some classic jazz and blues accent a meal rich with the tastes of the Big Easy. You'll find good quality gumbo, jambalaya and crawfish etouffée. Something called The Last Supper is a feast for two that includes fried catfish, Southern-style chicken, short ribs and a parade of side dishes. Stevie's will also prepare a deep-fried turkey to-go for a Southern-style Thanksgiving at home. Be forewarned, prices can be a bit steep for old-fashioned home cookin'.
