Sticky Rice Restaurant Review:

This Lower East Side Thai spot offers much more than the bland name conjures up, including unusual, delicately spiced eats and a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The exposed brick walls, red leather booths, and front walls that open up to the sidewalk provide a fine setting for Thai dishes that are less common in New York City Thai eateries. Fire Crackers---cigar-shaped morsels stuffed with chicken and curry paste, and wrapped in a tofu skin---are the best way to begin, before moving on to entrées like tender grilled boneless spare ribs or the Chiang Mai chicken, a thin boneless breast that’s doused with peanuts and ginger and tamarind. The menu gives equal weight to plates for carnivores and vegetarians and includes salads, barbecue and soup.
