Sticky Rice Restaurant Review

: Sticky Rice’s menu is an unpredictable cross between Japanese fare and mom’s home cooking. You can start off with tater tots or pork belly buns before moving on to a karaage chicken sandwich (Japanese-style fried chicken breast topped with spicy aïoli and house-made pickles) or bowls of noodles in vegan, gluten-free, seafood or meat varieties. Kids get their own choices: poki burgers, corn dogs, hot dog fried rice or Oodles o’ Noodles. Crave sushi? It’s the specialty of the house (and half-off during select hours Mondays and Fridays). You’ll find a whole slew of choices, from fresh crab and octopus to “The Silence of the Yams” (a vegan futomaki roll with tempura-fried sweet potato, toasted coconut, avocado, radish sprouts and umeboshi plum paste). Finish with the signature Sticky Rice dessert (sweet coconut rice and Mandarin oranges). If you feel like a party, come Tuesdays for karaoke, but every night is full of fun and games. If take-out is in order, Sticky ToGoGo is directly across the street. Other locations.
