Former Stokes sous chef Brian Christensen (Campton Place) has taken over the Stokes kitchen. The two-level, 160-year-old adobe house showcases wide plank floors, a rustic bar and lounge and separate dining rooms, some with garden vistas. Each room and the restaurant itself take their names from past residents who now (legend has it) haunt the restaurant. Anticipate a retooling of Brandon Miller's small bites and plates that dominated the menu, as well as dinners featuring local producers. The moderately-priced, mostly Californian and French wine list (including a nice collection of Pinot Noir) remains.
