Straub's has a solid following of locals who return time and again for simple, fresh seafood, with specialties including grouper, yellowfin tuna and fried Gulf oysters. Resist gorging on the homemade bread as you contemplate the menu. Our favorite entrées include a salmon steak marinated in lime juice, Italian spices and honey, or the simple, satisfying fried clam strips. For a splurge, try the Maine lobster tail, Maryland crab cake and grilled shrimp combo. Save room for the calorie-laden banana-hazelnut pound cake with caramel sauce and ice cream, worth an extra walk around the block. Nothing exceptional on the wine list, but you'll be able to find something worth sipping to accompany your meal.
