THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Suki 7 Restaurant Review:

Brad Finefrock reaps a trifecta with his third Vegas-like dinner house-dance lounge combo in the 805. This one has an Asian theme and more luxe décor than either P6 or Chapter 8. The sushi bar is hyper-modern, with log light fixtures hanging down from the ceiling and full armchairs swiveling atop stool bases around the square bar. A water wall separates the sushi bar from a private room that adjoins the main dining room, and there's a dance lounge way in the back. Golden Buddha faces peek out over diners in large booths or milling about the bar area. Patios dotted with fire pits wrap around the outside of the restaurant. Chef Katsuo Nagasawa spent ten years honing his skills at Café Del Rey. At Suki 7 he blends Mediterranean ingredients, like sun-dried tomatoes, Manila clams and spinach aïoli, with his modern Japanese menu of sushi rolls, robata grilled skewers, bento boxes and udon noodles. Signature items include a Kobe beef shabu-shabu that you cook at the table in a broth-filled stone bowl set over a clay pot packed with glowing charcoal. The chocolate fondue dessert is done this way, too. It’s a delicious and exciting end to the meal.
