Sullivan's Steakhouse Restaurant Review

: This is one of a myriad of steakhouses in Chicago, but it’s a good one. It manages to turn out fine steaks and some good side dishes --- both steakhouse requisites. Start with crispy calamari or lump crab cake. Next, a broiled live Maine lobster --- in two- and four-pound sizes --- is a decadent way to go; share one alongside a hefty slab of meat. Prime steaks are always well prepared; we like them topped with everything from Gorgonzola-garlic butter to bourbon peppercorn sauce.

Excellent Business Dinner

A colleague of mine chose this restaurant for a business dinner we were having. There were 8 of us and we did not make a reservation; we walked in and a very lovely young lady greeted us and assured us that in just a couple short moments she would put a table together to accommodate us. The manager walked us back to our table. Our two servers were not only good looking; but extremely helpful, patient, and attentive. We ordered seafood samplers and several drinks. Our glasses were never empty. This place has an amazing wine selection and a staff who is knowledgeable about it. I could say many nice things about our visit but it all comes down to the food and the service. The food was excellent. It is hard to get big group orders right and they were right on the money. Our steaks were all different types and temperatures and we were all more than satisfied. We had several sides including mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. We obviously left a great tip and enjoyed the ambiance and smiles of the restaurant. I highly recommend this 50s style steakhouse!
