Sullivan's Steakhouse Restaurant Review: While Morton's remains the place to find old Hollywood when it comes to the desert, the young celebrities are more often seen at this lively local outpost of the national steakhouse chain. That makes it the place to see-and-try-to-be-seen in the Coachella Valley. If you yourself are a young celebrity, you'll probably have no problem with your experience here. If you're not, you may find yourself suffering from uneven and sloppy service from the generally eager and friendly staff, or even from inconsistent food. The food holds few surprises, but surprise isn't what the restaurant is selling. If you're looking for steak, lamb chops or lobster traditionally prepared and served with traditional sides, you'll find them. If you want to hedge your bets, take a scouting trip to the bustling bar and have a bite there, then come back on another evening if you decide the scene is for you. But definitely have a martini: the elderflower and cucumber is a refreshing hot weather choice. |
