THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Sunburnt Calf Restaurant Review:

When The Sunburnt Cow opened in the East Village in 2003, it was an instant hit, thanks to friendly Aussie owner Heathe St. Clair and an atmosphere that inspired debauchery. The Brooklyn outpost, The Sunburnt Calf, is no different. There are a small handful of fruity (and potent) signature cocktails and reasonably priced beer on tap (the weekend brunch has all-you-can-drink specials). Unlike the original, the menu focuses on Southeast Asia. And it’s worth staying sober long enough to enjoy it. The steamed bun with fatty pork belly melts when it hits the palate. Crispy tumeric-accented barramundi is still very tender inside (despite being deep fried), and the long bean salad, sprinkled with peanuts and doused with makrut lime, makes for a refreshing small plate to share. There’s also pad thai and various noodle dishes.
