The Sunset Restaurant looks out on Malibu's Zuma Beach and the Pacific Ocean, with a curved wall of panoramic windows catching some dramatic sunsets. Guests might share fried calamari or wild mushroom flatbread with some leisurely cocktails, or opt for fish tacos or beet salad with Humboldt Fog goat cheese. For entrées, the kitchen does a good job with contemporary-styled dishes like roasted Scottish salmon with port wine demi-glace or such traditional items as filet mignon with blue cheese butter or spaghetti Bolognese. For dessert, there’s apple strudel or raspberry crème brûlée. The wine list is mostly Californian, but with accents from around the globe, and relatively moderately priced.
