THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Surin Thai Bowl & Sushi Bar Restaurant Review

: This spiffy spot has a friendly atmosphere and quick service for busy lunch guests. Buckhead's business types will enjoy hearty, exotically seasoned fare for less than $10. And it's quick, too. Here's how it works: Grab a menu and step up to the bar to place your order. Then wait for your name to be called. There is no table service. The small plates are especially worth investigating and sharing, especially the pot stickers. Veggie-and-pork-filled dumplings served in a light, creamy Thai-style curry sauce are addictive. Spicy papaya salad comes with Thai-style beef jerky and has a topping of crisp, dried miniature shrimp and ground peanuts, a meal deal at just $6. Tom kha chicken is a mildly flavored dish---not even slightly spicy as the single red pepper on the menu might indicate--so it's good for kids. It features chicken breast, mushrooms and cabbage in a lovely light coconut milk broth. You can dress it up with shrimp if you want. Sushi is prepared to order. The spicy tuna roll is a winner. Beer and wine are available. Also located at 265 Ponce de Leon Pl., Decatur, 404-373-2788.
