Sushi Go 55 Restaurant Review: The Morishita family has been in the restaurant business in Little Tokyo for over sixty years, and their popular sushi bar is located in the cavernous, architecturally challenged Little Tokyo Square. In contrast to the building itself, the restaurant is intimate and tastefully decorated, with a polished Japanese cypress sushi bar dominating the room. The place is busy at the lunch hour, with attorneys and bureaucrats from City Hall crowding the bar, but evenings offer a welcome serenity. The tempura and deep-fried Hama Hama oysters are popular, and a wide selection of fish --- much of it imported from Japan --- goes into the quality sushi and sashimi. |
