Sushi Guru Restaurant Review:

High-top tables hug the far wall in this SouthPark sushi spot. Contemporary art and lighting fill the small space. Start with some edamame or the smoked squid salad. Specialty rolls include the Banzai Roll, spicy tuna and avocado topped with flame-seared white tuna and drizzled with pistachio aïoli and black tobiko; and the signature Guru Roll created with tuna, lump crab and avocado graced with house-made aïoli, flash-baked and finished with fried garlic and shallots. Standard maki rolls are also options. With a large group? Go the omakase route, a traditional practice allowing the chef to bring his best to the table. A basic offering of new-world and old-world wines by the glass and beer are available, as are a couple dozen saké labels.
