Sushi Ko Restaurant Review: It's always fun to discover a little gem like Sushi Ko, which is tucked away in a suburban strip mall. Seated elbow-to-elbow, devotees pack this no-frills establishment to sample the chef's imaginative rolls, including the caterpillar and soft-shell crab, as well as the artful selections that fill the decorative bento boxes. Enjoy one of the chef's special dinners such as sake don, sliced fresh salmon over sushi rice; or una ju, fresh eel, sliced and placed atop steamed rice. Hot tea, served in large mugs, and a delicate crab and cucumber salad accompany the sushi trays. There's also an assortment of American and Japanese beers, cold and hot sakés, and a very limited wine list. |
