Sushi Lounge Restaurant Review: Patterned after the swanky, funky sushi bars and nightclubs of California, this hip spot offers approximately 15 different martinis, and that's just one section on the cocktail menu. And let's not forget the food: if you are an experimental sushi eater, you'll spend hours grazing from the extensive hand roll menu. Try some of the American-inspired offerings such as the Totowa roll, made with tuna, shrimp, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with salmon and spicy mayonnaise and wrapped in soy paper. The desserts---not your standard Japanese offerings---include the Maui nachos, feathery light, cinnamon sugar-dusted wontons topped with tropical fruit, raspberry coulis, caramel sauce and shaved white chocolate; and the chocolate Cognac crème brûlée served with caramelized banana slices. |
