Sushi Teri Japanese Restaurant Restaurant Review:
What began as an authentic Japanese mom-and-pop establishment, serving topnotch sushi with a bow, has devolved into a local chain of mediocre restaurants. The name conveys the menu: basic sushi and a few varieties of meat drowned in teriyaki sauce. Families come for the affordability and simplicity---the restaurant’s two best assets. But this is no place for serious sushi lovers. Unadventurous diners with a taste for soy sauce belly up to the bar at four locations: Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, Goleta and Lompoc. The original spot, on Bath Street in Santa Barbara, is the best of the four. Dinner specials such as grilled yellowtail collar or a medley of sashimi might sound tempting. You would, however, be advised to approach the sushi bar and survey the fish before ordering.
