Sushi Village Restaurant Review: Perched on the second floor of the Sundial Boutique Hotel, Sushi Village has been serving fresh sushi, sashimi and maki platters since 1985. You'll rub elbows with local skiers and snowboarders and visiting celebs alike all lining up for healthy portions of traditional Japanese cooking at wallet-friendly prices. Settle into a counter seat or a traditional tatami room and check out the diverse menu. Sashimi is ocean fresh and the selection of house rolls includes the mango caterpillar roll. Other possibilities are Whistler's best Caesar, crab claw tempura, spicy agedashi tofu, gyoza, teriyaki and udon noodle soups. Sushi Village, also home to legendary saké margaritas, has an all-Canadian wine list, Japanese beers and local craft beers. Fast, friendly and efficient servers seal the deal.
