THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Lounge Restaurant Review:
There's nothing stuffy about this Four Seasons Hotel, despite its litany of VIP guests and picture perfect setting. Take The Lounge: the bar serves cheesesteaks --- okay, so they're delivered in a crunchy spring roll with homemade spicy ketchup, but just try to stop at one. They're that good. (There is also a traditional version that has absolutely nothing in common with its South Philly cousins.) The Lounge is a good example of the convergence between a warm and attentive staff, gracious surroundings, and a menu that manages to be both approachable and memorable. Executed by chef de cuisine Joe Liberatore, who works closely with the hotel's executive chef Rafael Gonzalez, the all-day menu includes a truffle burger, Moroccan spiced Atlantic salmon, veal Milanese and crab gnocchi served with asparagus, zucchini and ricotta cheese in a tomato cream sauce. An ideal spot for conversation and cocktails, The Lounge is also a destination for dessert and Champagne, afternoon tea or Sunday brunch accompanied by live jazz.
