A successful Detroit metro chef-restaurateur for three decades, Lorraine Platman expanded her dining offerings with Sweet Lorraine's Mac n' Cheez Kitchen, where guests can choose from over a dozen made-to-order mac ‘n’ cheese selections as well as soups, wraps and salads. The concept is simple --- an American food take-off on the Asian grill concept. Diners order at the counter, choosing which ingredients to add to the corkscrew pasta and creamy sauces. Traditionalists can opt for the classic mac, However, for something different, try the buffalo chicken, a mac made with roasted chicken, blue and cheddar cheeses, Frank’s Original RedHot Sauce and celery sticks. Not to be outdone, there's lobster mac and the truffle and mushroom mac --- fresh button mushrooms, truffled bread crumbs and Swiss cheese. For dessert, select from an assortment of freshly made cookies or go for the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie.
