Los Angeles is primarily a latte-toting town, but the tradition of tea is seeing a subtle revival. Designed as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional British tea house, this “urban tea café” serves more than 100 organic teas, from black to white to green. The menu features fresh produce and hearty breads, and choices include the manchego, arugula and fig on pain de mie; cheddar and homemade date chutney on organic whole grain; and grilled Lapsang Souchong portobello with goat cheese on ciabatta. The café is decked out with tartan-patterned barstool seat covers and features live DJs on Friday and Saturday nights.
